"I've had my first sailing trip when I was age 17, and from then onwards followed a lifelong passion for ships and Naval Engineering that would lead me to join the Portuguese Naval Academy in 2013.

After finishing in 2019 with a Master's Degree in Military Naval Science, specializing in Naval Engineering in the field of Mechanics, I joined the Portuguese Warship "F334 NRP D. Francisco de Almeida" where I was in charge of leading a team of 10 technicians with the job of preparing the ship's crew to face any on-board emergency to combat standards, aswell as maintaining and repairing the platform's auxiliary and flight systems.

While attending to my Naval Officer duties on-board an operational warship, I developed my main passion in engineering and research. Over the past three years I developed various projects in collaboration with the Portuguese Navy, of which some have led to international publications and fully fledged financed projects and systems. Following these efforts, the "NORTHSEAS" Project was born as my own personal brand for Naval Engineering Education, through interactive videos and streams on various platforms, which aims to teach and draw interest for the art in Engineering and Ship design aswell as improve my own skills.

At the present moment I am overseeing the overall maintenance and replacement of various systems in a type-M Frigate on the Dutch DMI Shipyard in Den Helder which will significantly extend the life period of the platform."
